Contrary to emerging legend, Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame isn’t becoming a target for human feces.

Hoax-busting site Snopes reported Monday that “rumors of an abundance of rogue human pooping on Trump’s Walk of Fame star do not appear to be well-documented.”
Snopes said that if such an activity were common, “we’d expect to see multiple social media users snapping and sharing photographs of this comical new trend.”
Snopes said it contacted the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to ask about the rumor, and a representative said the rumors were false: “The chamber had received no reports or complaints of visitors defecating on the landmark (thus far).”
Trump’s star — placed in January 2007 — is at 6801 Hollywood Blvd. It won’t be removed, officials have said frequently.
As City News Service reported last July:
“Leron Gubler, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce president and CEO, confirmed that the chamber had received inquiries about removing Bill Cosby’s star, as well as that of Donald Trump, who has been under fire in recent weeks for disparaging comments he made about Mexican immigrants.”
Gubler also said: “The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a registered historic landmark. Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk.”
In responding to the request, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce cited a quote from the late “honorary mayor of Hollywood” Johnny Grant, who once responded to a similar inquiry by saying, “Stars are awarded for professional achievement to the world of entertainment and contributions to the community. A celebrity’s politics, philosophy, irrational behavior, outrageous remarks or anything like that have never been cause to remove a Walk of Fame star.”
But evidence is plentiful of people vandalizing Trump’s star, the 2,327th on the Walk of Fame.
